The online resource that I consider would be useful is regarding one of the lecture included in our module handbook. It is the one about intellectual property on the internet and the need of adaptation of copyrighting rules and laws in a world when anybody can download, remix and post any piece of material on different media sites. In advance I thought this particular journal can help us understand this subject in depth this subject.
The online resource that I find is part of a journal produced by WIPO. WIPO- World International Property Organization-is a global forum for intellectual property services, policy, information and cooperation. They are a self-funded agency by the United Nations with 188 member states. Their mission is to lead the development of a balanced and effective international intellectual property (IP) system that sustains innovation and creativity.
The WIPO journal talks about different issues that affect and the concern the intellectual property. In the first volume in the first issue we can find a useful essay from Yoshiyuki Tamara about Rethinking the copyright institution in the digital ages. It is well structured and it touches subjects as the already known copyrighting laws influenced by natural laws, about the development of technology, the interests of creators and also a few ideas on how to rethink the copyright institution.
